Finding An Adventure In Television Advertising

Von Housen and Mercedes-Benz remains one of my favorite clients to shoot in recent memory – not only was the project highly visible, but it allowed for the pushing the boundaries in automotive advertising.

With my shooting cinematographer Michael Curtis Jr, we were able to capture the adventurous spirit alongside a message of luxury in our placements. Nearly every ad told a story that we concepted from the beginning. We used an array of equipment: Car mounts, cranes, sliders, drones, high-level camera gear, and lighting. I’m proud how the end result turned out on the ads.

The ad featured here is one in a series, but this one is my favorite from the bunch. It was filmed in Granite Bay, CA, on a warm September afternoon.
