Hi, for the 33rd time, maybe you should just tell her you rhyme?

The first music video I filmed for Poor Majesty’s record Dreamer is my favorite. I think it really captures that fun-loving dude he is, to one of the strongest tracks on the record.

The video was filmed early on in the project, in the summer of 2018. There are many great sequences in the video, but the most popular is the opening sequence, where a guy with a box of donuts (his idea) attempts to woo a woman who presumably lives in his building during an elevator ride.

That woman is Sydney Ranee, who sings the hook on the track. Syd was on several tracks on the record, and we always have enjoyed working with her.

The video was shot entirely at an apartment complex in Midtown Sacramento. We shot the pool scene last – and good thing – because near the end of the shoot we were thrown off the property by the property manager. The sequence of Poor Majesty cleaning the pool was the only one we got.
