Luxury Meets Tradition Up In The Hills.

If you want to be away from it all in Sacramento, CA, then Serrano in El Dorado Hills is probably your bag. It’s a high-end housing development up in the hills, with ultra-large lots, grand architecture and a country club that has a par-72 golf course, a pool, gym and lighted tennis courts. If you have a little bit of money and want others to know it, you live in East Sac. If you have a lot of people and don’t want people to know it, you live in Serrano.

I mostly do their print ads for Bay Area publications and outdoor advertising, but have also done a fair amount of video and interactive work for Parker Development, the company behind Serrano. A major part of the design process for a client like this is photography. I’ve enjoyed developing a photographic language of their landscapes, and intimate shots of their various developer’s projects.

The most fun I’ve had with this client is droning their golf course. It’s great to take a drone out over a golf course and fly it until you almost can’t see it. Produces great shots curious looks.
